Eastern Cottonwood (Populus deltoides) in the middle of the road near Brayton, Iowa.

From Interstate 80 take exit 70, turn right onto 750th Street/Littlefield Drive and go north, turn left onto 340th Street, turn left on to Nighthawk Avenue and drive south until you come to the tree.  There is no street sign, so if you get to the three way intersection you have gone too far.  Turn around.

Two different trees and two different arboretums that have the Drummond Norway Maple (Acer platanoides ‘Drummondii’).   It can be seen what happens when reverts are not pruned out regularly.

Here is some seed gathered from Hamamelis virginiana.  I found that the seed ponds pop as they dry and were some in every corner of this room.

You can see the little black dots on the carpet where they have been scattered.
